Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-16. Please have this reviewed by a qualified attorney for your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) before relying on it for a commercial site.
What this site is
Backyard Flock & Garden is a static publication hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not require an account, does not set tracking cookies of its own, and does not run server-side code that stores personal data.
Information we collect directly
- Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, the message you submit (and any email address or name you include) is processed by Cloudflare Pages Forms and made available to us so we can reply. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Newsletter signups (when enabled). If you subscribe, your email address is sent to our email provider (e.g., MailerLite, ConvertKit, or Beehiiv depending on which is configured at that time) for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
Analytics and embedded services
- Google Analytics 4 (optional). If GA4 is enabled on this site, it loads Google's gtag.js script, which sets cookies and collects standard web analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referrer). See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out via your browser's tracker-blocking settings or extensions.
- Cloudflare hosting. Cloudflare collects basic request logs as part of providing the network and security layer. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require accounts and do not store passwords.
- We do not run a comment system or forum on this site.
- We do not sell, rent, or share data we collect with third parties for marketing.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies of its own. Third-party scripts (e.g., GA4 if enabled) may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings.
Your choices
- Use a browser or extension that blocks GA4 to opt out of analytics.
- Don't submit the contact form if you don't want us to receive your message.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any email we send.
- To request deletion of any contact-form data we hold on you, email us via the contact page.
Children
This site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for a reasonable time.
